Zhoumi Rewind

ccooony: Super Junior M’s Zhoumi is following in the footsteps of his fellow member Henry in being able to to release his own mini album and be a solo artist. His title track “Rewind” is said to be an R&B track about wanting to go back to a time before a break up, hence rewind. Both Chanyeol and Tao are featured as rappers in Zhoumi’s Korean and Chinese versions of the song respectively.  It was fitting for many of the scenes in the music video to move backwards instead of forwards since the concept itself is about rewinding back.

I actually think that the rapping in the song sounds cooler than the singing within the song itself, but my favorite part of the song has to be the “Stop, Rewind, Rewind, Stop, Rewind, Rewind….Play” lyrics. This is the part of the song I remember the most. I like the hand choreography that goes along with it. When I first saw the turning fingers choreography, I was actually reminded of Got7’s “Girls Girls Girls” finger choreography. I like the choreography for “Rewind.” I’m not sure how I feel about the song as a whole, but I’ll probably still listen to it more to see whether or not I’ll end up liking it.
